A lot of people are taking their work home with them, and we are not talking about unpaid overtime. These days, people and organizations alike are finding that they can accomplish some or all of their work from a home office. That and many people are finding they would prefer to work for themselves at a home office.
And with that, here are five different types of 123ink.ca computer desks you should consider for your home office.
#1: The RECTANGLE Computer Desk
Classic but still versatile, the rectangle desk works just as well in the center of the room as it does against the wall, in the corner. Since these are easy to come by, you can always add another desk (and another) as your workspace needs change and grow.
#2: The L-SHAPED Computer Desk
Basically, position one rectangle desk along the wall and then another at the end of this table that is perpendicular to the wall: this is the L-Shaped computer desk. Of course, you can also buy these in more efficient styles as the point is to offer better use of smaller spaces for those who need more room for computer monitors, stationery, calendars, and other office tools.
#3: The CORNER WORK STATION Desk
Essentially, this is another version of the L-shaped computer desk but with added compartments for storage or more surface area as a workspace. Also, the L-shaped computer desk tends to have one longer side (just like the letter “L”) and this is more of an evenly spaced work station.
#4: The U-SHAPED Computer Desk
You can probably sense a trend that things are getting bigger and sure enough, the U-shaped computer desk is much bigger than the others. This connects a third side to the L-shaped or U-shaped computer desk so that, essentially, you are working at a kind of inlet. This really spreads out your work area so, for instance, you can assign different jobs to different parts of the desk. It can be very helpful for those who have a lot of paper work or commit to several problems at the same time.
#5: The FLOATING Computer Desk
A very recent development, the floating computer desk is cropping up more and more in home offices. This type of desk is basically a counter that attaches to the wall, but has a drop leaf on one side which you can prop up when you want to work.
